At Radium Development Berhad, Building Good isn’t just a tagline; it’s a commitment. This philosophy came to life during our recent blood donation drives, held on 18 June and 11 November 2024, in partnership with Pusat Darah Negara Malaysia (PDN). These campaigns are a testament to Radium’s unwavering dedication to empowering communities and fostering sustainable development, in line with Radium’s Rule of 8 principles.
The two campaigns saw a total of 92 volunteers registering to donate blood, which resulted in a contribution of 155 blood bags to PDN. Every pint donated represents a ripple of hope, directly supporting patients in critical need of blood transfusions for survival and recovery.
Recognising the importance of community participation, Radium offered RM20 McDonald’s food vouchers as tokens of appreciation to successful donors. But beyond incentives, these campaigns symbolise the power of coming together for a greater purpose—towards building healthier, more resilient communities.
“Blood donation is one of the simplest yet most impactful ways to give back,” says Radium Development Berhad Group Managing Director, Datuk Gary Gan. “At Radium, we believe that Building Good goes beyond constructing homes and spaces; it’s about nurturing a thriving, compassionate society. Through these drives, we aim to inspire our communities to join us in making a difference.”
Now in its second year, Radium’s blood donation initiative reflects our vision of building sustainably—not just in infrastructure but in the lifelines of our community. Every campaign is a reminder that development is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about people and their well-being.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all participants, partners, and staff who contributed to the success of these events. Together, we’re proving that every drop of effort counts in building a brighter, healthier future.
