KUALA LUMPUR, 14th November 2023: Radium Development Berhad recently came out in support of one of Malaysia’s national treasures, Zoo Negara.
This began in September 2023 with a handover of 99 specially designed umbrellas in conjunction with the Zoo’s 60th anniversary this year. The umbrellas take pride of place at the zoo’s umbrella rental kiosk at the entrance, for the convenience of visitors.
On Saturday, 21 October 2023, 19 Radium employees took part in the Zoo’s ‘Groom’ CSR programme, which saw them cleaning and beautifying the grounds and enclosures. Aside from the 19 employees who volunteered their time to enhance the zoo, the company had also sponsored the ticket prices for entry for 46 RDB family members to spend the day there.
The rationale for supporting Zoo Negara was to create a long-term partnership in supporting one of Malaysia’s national treasures. This collaboration aligned with Radium’s ethos of “Building Good” and promise of creating thriving communities that people want to live and invest in. The partnership supported Zoo Negara with the conservation and preservation of endangered species and their habitats, education and public awareness about wildlife, conservation, and environmental issues, and creating a positive social impact by providing access to nature, promoting leisure activities, and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
