The PERTIWI Soup Kitchen project is an exemplary initiative aimed at providing regular meals to individuals in need at various locations in Kuala Lumpur. The community outreach effort is established and managed by Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam (PERTIWI), a well-established NGO in Malaysia. The project receives invaluable support from both corporate and individual sponsors, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility.

In celebration of Ramadan this year, Radium Development Berhad is supporting the good work of the Pertiwi Soup Kitchen through a distribution of food to those in need on the eve of the fasting month, and sponsoring the distribution of dinner during the month of Ramadhan.

During the distribution day, Radium volunteers worked with PERTIWI members to give away packs of freshly cooked meals to some 200 recipients at Pusat Khidmat Gelandangan Medan Tuanku (PKGMT). In addition to the cooked meals, Radium also provided each recipient with a Radium reusable woven bag and packed pandan layer cakes and biscuits.

This is the second time that Radium is collaborating with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen to assist to those in need. This time round, Radium is expanding its support of the soup kitchen by coming in as a sponsor for four dinnertime food distribution sessions in March 2024.
